America’s Best Goalkeeper Renewed Manchester City
Zack Steffen, one of the best goalkeepers in the United States, now representing the Manchester City club, has received an offer to extend his contract with the team until 2025.
He joined the team in 2019, signing a 4-year contract until 2023. During this time, however, he showed considerable talent playing understudy for Ederson, and also helped Manchester City win the Carabao Cup last season.
It’s no surprise that the club is trying to keep the footballer since Zack Steffen is a titled athlete. In 2018, he was named the best US football player as well as the best goalkeeper in the MLS.
Commenting on the news, Steffen himself says: “I am honored to be here and contribute to the achievement of the team’s goals.”
He also added that during his time at Manchester he has become much more professional as a goalkeeper: “I have contributed to the success of the team and it was a great experience for me.”
Recall that Zack Steffen moved to Manchester City from the Columbus Crew, and immediately after that he spent a season in the German Fortuna Dusseldorf
